The City of Mebane recently adopted the Lowe’s Boulevard Corridor Plan, financed through BGMPO Section PL 104(f) funding. The study area includes Lowe’s Boulevard between NC 119 and Trollingwood-Hawfields Road. In anticipation of increased development in the area, the purpose of the plan is to improve multi-modal connectivity in the area and reduce congestion at the existing NC 119 and Trollingwood-Hawfields Road intersection. Six conceptual alternatives were considered prior to selection of the preferred corridor path.
