Help Shape Our Transportation Future!
We invite YOU to help shape the future of transportation in our community by participating in North Carolina’s Prioritization 8.0 (P8) process.
What is P8 and Why Does It Matter?
P8 is NCDOT's state-directed process to decide which transportation projects get funded over the next 10 years. While the state uses technical data to score projects, local feedback directly guides how BGMPO allocates our local input points by giving our community's priorities a boost to get funded and built.
Current Phase: Regional Impact
We are currently in the Regional Impact phase (focusing on larger, regional connections). BGMPO wants to know how you would prioritize regionally significant highway, rail, and transit projects across our area. (Note: Local highway, rail, transit, bicycle/pedestrian, and aviation projects will be evaluated at the "Division Needs" level this Fall).
3 Ways to Share Your Feedback:
- Interactive Comment Map – Pinpoint specific spots and leave comments.
- Point Allocation Exercise – "Spend" your priority points on your favorite projects.
- Open-Ended/General Comment – Share your overall vision in your own words.
Whichever method you prefer, we want to hear from you! Just don't forget to hit "Submit Survey" at the bottom of the page to lock in your feedback.
Together, we will the transportation improvements that works for everyone. Your voice matters!
